HCBS 2015 Educational Summit At Capitol City Plaza in Topeka
Kansas is hosting a NO COST HCBS Educational Summit April 13th to April 14th in Topeka, Kansas (see information below). You are invited to join us and attend this opportunity for nurses, social workers, attorneys, caregivers, and other providers to learn more about home and community based programs in Kansas as well as hear from the Kansas Nursing Board on the Nurse Practice Act and Nursing Delegation, the Department for Health and Environment on Medicaid and Health Homes, the Department for Aging and Disability on HCBS. Professional credits may be available for the sessions on April 13th. A special presentation by the Attorney General’s office on Medicaid Fraud, Waste and Abuse will cover ethical issues in Medicaid.

KDADS is presenting a HCBS 2015 Educational Summit for HCBS consumers, family members, providers, and professionals. The Educational Summit is aNO COST event that will give the public the opportunity to learn more about HCBS topics and programs. Some of the topics of interest include HCBS Final Setting Rule Assessment, Self-Direction, Guardianship, Employment Programs, HCBS Programs, Health Homes, MFEI Assessment, APS/CPS, Social Security Disability/PMDT, Medicaid Fraud, and more! Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with MCO representatives to discuss benefits and concerns.
Please join us for a half-day provider and professional track on Monday, April 13th from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Professional credits may be available for continuing education.
Please join us for an all-day consumer, caregiver, and provider track on Tuesday, April 14th. Lunch is provided for those who register.
