Good afternoon from MidAmerica Nazarene University!

We are excited about a new program we are launching in the fall in partnership with Lakemary Inc.  This “Careers and More” program for adults with developmental disabilities will offer college courses leading to a certificate focused on the areas of career development, social skill development, Job skills and team work, as well as courses taken with traditional MNU students in the areas of technology and physical education.

 

This program is targeting adults 18-29 years of age that have the drive and motivation to navigate a college campus and classes, and have no particular behavior issues to hinder social and academic experiences.  It will also offer field based experiences to aid in all the outcomes of the programs as well as job placement services.

 

 

 

If you know of families that have students that may benefit from a program like this, we are having an open house on June 15th 2016 at6:00pm in Metz Hall 228. (Off Mur-len by the softball field).  We would also like to invite you and your Department of Special Services to have a more in depth look to more what our program is about.
