The newly opened Topeka Independent Living Resource Center (TILRC) Seating and Mobility Center provides assessments for obtaining manual and powered mobility devices such as ultralight, tilt in space manual wheelchairs, scooters, complex rehab power wheelchairs, etc. by working with your physician, a DME vendor and insurance/private pay. Occupational Therapist Ken Lassman, director, has provided assessments for thousands of wheelchairs in northeast Kansas since 1997. Besides doing simple and complex rehab wheelchair and seating assessments, Ken can provide staff training, assess your home for home modifications/adaptations as well.
